Teaching style

I am influenced by various lineages of Eastern tradition, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin, as well as modern Western thought such as stretching science, sound therapy and mindfulness.

In class, you can expect me to learn your name and pay attention to you and your practice, as well as leading the group as a whole.

I am 'warm strict'. We don't take anything too seriously and you'll feel included from the start. I'll also challenge you to work hard and get the most out of the practice.

The sequence of yoga postures builds heat in the body, developing strength and flexibility, improving circulation and supporting mental health. Hands-on assists keep your alignment safe and take you further in your practice.

Flow and restore

A gentle and slow flow of accessible yoga postures stretches and warms the body, before restorative yoga brings you deep rest. The foundation of the practice is the teachings of Indian guru BKS Iyengar. Postures made comfortable with props such as blocks, bolsters and straps are held for several minutes. Hands-on assists intuitively guide you into the best posture for you, and bring you deeper relaxation. The practice balances the nervous system, releases muscular tension and develops compassion.

Sound baths

Sound bowls and rainmakers create strong vibrations in the studio. As the instruments circulate and move close to you, your body feels the sound deeply, creating emotional release and intense relaxation.
